Active Self Protection
Stay Vigilant & Committed To Your Own Personal Safety
What would it take to make you realize how important your personal safety is? How vulnerable we can be and how unexpected dangerous can get us. What have you done to prepare yourself? All things “you,” come from within you, to be confident we are safe, is to be aware of our convictions, our abilities, and our purposes. - Chris Marciano, CEO/Founder, Prepare To Act.
When you think of personal safety, what do you think about? A better question is, when did you think about it last? If you answered, never, or not recently, or anything along those lines, you’re not alone. But what if I told you that protecting ourselves is easier then most think?
Most of us don’t want to even think about anything bad until something bad happens. I get that. But what if we took baby steps? Personal safety doesn’t have to mean learning to be Bruce Lee or some kind of superhero. Starting with developing our intuitions, our Gut Instincts is a really good place to start. Law enforcement officers around the world rely on gut instinct or that feeling you get when something is just off.
But don’t stop there, self-awareness and self-confidence both play a huge role in our safety and protection. Taking responsibility for our own personal safety is absolutely vital in the violent era we are currently living in.
What is Active Active Self Protection?
Active Self Protection is developing a mindset to stay vigilant about the importance of personal safety as well as creating strong, healthy, and safe routines and habits that will in the end react as self-confidence and effective action.
Pay Attention To Your Surroundings - It’s an easy thing to do, when you are alone in a parking lot, an elevator, or any scenario that your gut senses could be dangerous, pick your head up from your cell phone and stay alert to everything around you.
Be prepared with a self-protection plan. Firearms are not your only means of self-protection, there are so many less-lethal options out there, that are safe for you to use and effective ways of protecting yourself.
Find ways to develop your self-confidence and self-awareness. You may have every weapon in the world to protect yourself, then again, you may have none. Either way, without believing in yourself, you’ll never have the nerve to take action when you need to.
Active self-protection is the process we’ve developed for you to follow, practice, and utilize to make your life safer.
The process focuses on:
Personal Growth - You have to be open-minded to want to grow stronger, more aware, and be able to routinely face your fears. Personal growth is vital to so much in life, but on the topic of personal safety, it’s absolutely key.
Self-Confidence - Ok so, you took a self-defense class, maybe you own a firearm, even simpler, you have a small dusty old peppers spray on your key chain. What good is it if you don’t have the confidence to use it? Learn To Grow Your Self-Confidence
Creating Healthy Habits. Whether that be staying active and healthy, expanding your knowledge through books, or taking self-defense or other classes, like yoga. Do something to invest in yourself. Investing yourself helps you to create Purpose and have a clear passion to fight back if the moment comes.
Learning De-Escalation Tactics & Techniques. Raise your hand if you’ve ever been in a fistfight…now raise your hand if you’ve been in a fistfight you started…I’ll wait. You see the point is, most of us don’t want to fight, it’s not in our daily motivations. So learn ways to de-escalate potentially violent situations and how to handle difficult people. You’ll be amazed at what you can accomplish.
Active Self Protection is a mindset, an awareness, and an active personal passion to stand up for yourself.
